Welcome to the PreciseEV EV workspace

The workbench brings price comparison, expected value, arbitrage, fantasy, and tracking into one local workspace. Every tool below opens directly to its matching screen.

Workspace workflow

Start in Odds comparison. Prices load from the odds feed (PreciseAPI) once its key is set; you can also add prices manually or import a version 1 workspace JSON file. Choose a sport and market, then move among tools without leaving the workspace.

Records are saved in this browser. Export a JSON copy to move them between browsers or machines. The calculation tools use the same saved records, so a price entered for comparison can also appear in Positive EV, arbitrage, low holds, and alert screens.

Quote data contract

Sportsbook quotes need a stable id, sport, event, market, type, line, side, book, American odds, live status, and an observation time ts. Exchange quotes can add exchange and liquidity. DFS props, prediction contracts, bets, results, and alerts have separate record arrays in the version 1 workspace format.

Positive EV requires a complete set of outcomes from another book at the same event, market, line, and live status. Live calculations exclude quotes older than 90 seconds. The detailed format is maintained in the project’s EV workbench data contract.

Odds feed

The odds tools price sportsbook data from PreciseAPI, connected on the PreciseEV server with an API key that never reaches the browser. PreciseAPI sends each source's posted prices; the server devigs every market with the sharp-book weights and sends every page finished values: fair odds, EV, arbitrage, middles, holds and DFS fair probabilities. Until the key is set, the tools show empty boards.

The board refreshes about every two minutes, and games in play every 20 seconds: only their lines are read and repriced. On plans with a monthly credit allowance it refreshes only as often as the remaining credits allow before they reset, so it never runs the account dry. Every price shows when it was read, and a board that is late is marked stale.

Coverage and limits

  • Sportsbooks and exchanges: 22 sportsbooks (Pinnacle and Circa as the sharp references) and 8 exchanges and prediction markets, with exchange liquidity, across 17 leagues. Moneylines, spreads, totals, alternate lines, team totals and first-half, quarter, period and first-five-innings lines.
  • Player props and DFS: sportsbook props and 10 pick'em apps' lines for the NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB and NHL, including goblin and demon lines. PreciseAPI pulls props when a game starts, so they cover pregame only. Each app's payout table comes from PreciseEV.
  • Line history: recorded prices for full-game moneylines, spreads and totals, on plans that include history.
  • Research boards: each player's posted line is the one most regulated US sportsbooks post, FanDuel first on a tie. The last pregame line is kept to grade results after the game.
  • Not provided: prediction-market order books (bids, asks, depth), promo terms and personal account imports. Promo amounts and terms can be entered manually.
